Early this year we discussed Hezekiah and his call to action. Well, we have a similar call to answer.
I was attending a Bible study a few weeks ago, and the lesson was about our actions being the sum of who we are.
When Hezekiah was sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live. – 2 Kings 20:1
What actions have you taken this year in order to understand the sum of who you are? Have you come to the realization that your core foundation will allow you to stand only if you put the work in for the life you desire? Ponder for a moment, and ask yourself if you have a foundation built solid enough to be moved and tossed about at times in this life? If you cannot answer yes, then it is time for a teardown and rebuild. It is the body we inhabit daily — our internal body, our spirit, the inner most part of us that is Our Soul! How has it been clothed?
Maya Angelou quoted: You are the sum total of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, eaten, smelled, been told, forgot – it’s all there. Everything influences each of us, and because of that I try to make sure that my experiences are positive.
” Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.” Colossians 3:12
Happy Thanksgiving!
