“Summer means happy times and good sunshine. It means going to the beach, going to Disneyland, having fun.” Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys
In 1958, the Jamies recorded a summer time favorite – “It’s summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime.” I sing that song in my head every summer at least 100 times. It is a snappy tune, and you can remember the words because – “It’s summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime.”
March has been a whirlwind, and summer is just around the corner. Before we know what is happening, kids will be out of school and saying, “I’m bored.”
No one is going to be bored at the Center for Lifelong Learning this summer. We are offering more than 20 camp options for children this year. There are sports camps: Tee-Time Golf Camp and Soccer Camp. There are arts camps: Art Explorers, Smart Photography, Words Alive: Adventures in Writing and Illustrating Short Stories, and Hands Up! American Sign Language Camp. There will be science camps: Dr. Seuss STEM Camp, CSI for Kids. There are camps just for FUN: Great Brick Adventure, Stop Motion Animation, and Hip Hop Camp. These are just a few of the camps this summer.
