Snacking Smart
Over the last few months, our world has been tipped on its side; and it now seems that this panic has landed in our back yard. Many of us now find ourselves being home from work and our children home for school with at least a few weeks to hang out together within the walls of our homes. Being home for so long sounds like the perfect opportunity to just “pig out” on snacks and catch up on all that television you’ve been waiting to watch.
Before you decided to sit down with a tub of ice cream and a bag of cheesy chips, think about how many good choices you have made in the past. Do you really want to derail all the hard work you have done? Think about how much you have accomplished and how far you have come. Being away from your regular routine for at least two weeks can either cause you to totally fall back into your old habits or can help propel you towards your goal.
This week, I’m featuring two “snack” recipes to help us all get through these next few weeks without eating the entire chip, cookie, and snack cake aisle from the grocery store. You are in complete control of what you decide to put in your body. Let’s make good choices and continue to stay healthy!
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
