With all of the Gulf Cost celebrating the Mardi Gras season, I thought it only proper to name this “Mardi Gras Corn Bread.” It’s not only pleasing to the palate but festive too. My family and I are always trying out new recipes on each other. Granted, we make these recipes up most of the time, so they really are coming from our kitchen to yours. I have to thank my baby brother for this one. If you have followed this column for any length of time, then you know I feature his culinary skills here from time to time. This recipe is worth trying.
