Aug 3, 4 & 5 — Athens Lions Club Kiddie Carnival opens at 309 East Forrest Street from 6:30-9:30 PM. More info on the VisitAthensAl.com website

Aug 4 — Singing on the Square at Limestone County Courthouse, Marion Street, Athens, AL. Join the Athens-Limestone County Tourism and sponsor Jimmy Smith Buick GMC for the final free concert in the Summer Concert Series starting at 6:30 PM with Athens State Community Band. This year, Band Director Roy Adams has a treat for our guests! The beautiful music of movie themes of John Williams from Harry Potter – Jurassic Park – Indiana Jones – ET: Extra Terrestrial – Superman – Star Wars – Saving Private Ryan and even more…. The concert will be 6:30 – 7:30 PM on the Courthouse Steps. If we have inclement weather, it will be held in the Vietnam Veterans Building located at 17915 W Elm St, Athens, AL. Be sure to bring your lawn chair.

Aug 8 — Hunting Information with Q&A at the Athens-Limestone Visitors Center (100 North Beaty Street in Athens) from 5:00-6:00 PM with Alabama State Game Warden Sergeant Fulks.
