Gobble, Gobble, Y’all – Cooking With Anna

It’s almost turkey time! Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays. It doesn’t focus on gifts; it only focuses on being thankful. Thanksgiving has always been important in my family. It is my daddy’s favorite holiday. Every year we sit around the table and enjoy a great meal. But most importantly, we enjoy each other. We talk about what all we are thankful for and all the blessings we have been given throughout the year. Thanksgiving is about celebrating the small things. We have so much to be thankful about!

We enjoy turkey and dressing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, and numerous desserts. One thing that I look forward to the most every year is Pumpkin Soup. It’s warm and cozy in a bowl. This soup is Thanksgiving in a bowl to me. It is easy to prepare and even easier to eat. Even if you don’t enjoy pumpkin, I encourage you to give this soup a try. It is truly delicious!

This holiday season, amid the hustle and the bustle, take time to slow down and truly think about all the blessings in your life. Truly be thankful! “Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” Psalm 107:8-9
